Lonsdale Solutions Helps Power SEC’s Retail Launch Through Market Readiness Program

Lonsdale Solutions is proud to have played a key role in supporting the State Electricity Commission (SEC) as it marks its return to the retail energy market - a significant milestone for Victoria’s energy future.
The team led by Jeremy Smith as Program Director has been working in close partnership with SEC over the past 18 months to mobilise, plan, and deliver the Market Readiness Program. This comprehensive program laid the foundations for SEC’s re-entry into the retail space, ensuring the organisation was fully prepared across people, processes, systems, and compliance to support this strategic move.
As announced by SEC (link to release), the launch of its retail business represents a major step forward in delivering cleaner, more affordable energy to Victorians. Behind this achievement was an extensive program of work to ensure operational readiness and regulatory alignment—supported by Lonsdale’s proven capability in program leadership, stakeholder engagement, and change delivery.
